with racial discrimination under several Florida and Federal non-discrimination statutes. The discrimination charge was apparently precipitated by Rev. Al Sharpton's excoriation of Woods, in the press and on several television interviews. It was Sharpton's complaint that Woods excluded black women from opportunities for sexual liaisons with him. Since black females are members of two protected classes, several national minority female organizations have seen fit to file this charge on behalf of the entire nationwide class of black women. [Sex discrimination is not charged].
At question however, is whether the caucasion women who had sexual liasons with Woods, had the status of "employee", or whether they were "independent contractors". This point of law must be settled in order to determine whether the class action charge can be formally accepted by the Federal and State agencies.
