Non Political President
If a successful businessman who was also a staunch advocate of gun rights were to run for a political office, even the Presidency, would you vote for him simply because he wasn't a politician? http://www.gunmerchantaccount.com |

I would need to know where they stand on other issues.
HampsterW
as Bauer mentioned, there are other issues to consider as well, foreign policy etc.

we had the "hopey, changey" thing (to quote Sarah Palin), with a great political organization. On the other side we had a fine man with a limited resume; little to no economic experience or knowledge, and limited domestic policy experience. Now, here we are.
We need a well rounded candidate with wide knowledge and experience, firmly grounded in the constitution and in what's reasonable and possible to do in cooperation with Congress. Do we have any possibilities? I believe that we do, but rather than me advocating for someone I'd rather have input from all the members, so we can all benefit from each other's background, experience and knowledge. I have a great deal of respect for you people, and enjoy learning from you.

would be a good pick but he is cooling his jets in Beijing and I am not sure that a lot of people could get past the fact that he is a Mormon but then again we elected a Muslim so why not?
Vaquero

Vaquero
