you know it's bad when the sun come out to give you a break from the storm and your power go out for a minute right then. this getting old. and ryo is much too old now to suck thumb and pout. it time like this when ryo wish had own ordnance range in the house and a Paladin 155mm howitzer neh.

Here you justed told me yesterday that you guys needed more rain there in Texas. LOL If you had a Paladin 155mm howitzer in the back yard I know you would be making your own bangs!!
LittleDragon
and you not supposed to have another power outage when the weather clear up a little bit neh. btw, was thinking more of an indoor ordnance range lol. and yes ryo would be firing as fast as could get it to load just to blow off a little steam. would however need a crew to help operate.
Also two day ago the forecast was for "scattered thunder showers" well the weather guy can't be right all the time neh. nothing like this was forecast.
Your friend,
LittleDragon

Yes, you would need a gun crew if you had a 155mm howitzer in back yard. The shells weight more than you do. I don't think the people living close to you would like it much with you shooting it off.
The weather people are off more times than they are right. LOL

We did get a lot of rain though most ran just south of me all night long. Kept me up with all of the lightening. I had a 120' long electrical trench dug in my backyard that I barely got filled in 15 minutes before the bottom fell out last night. I am so greatful! -your right the weather guys totally missed this one :)
LittleDragon
where we are the sun is out, but it starting to get dark again. problem is this dry line is parked just southwest of fort worth and it's not going anywhere anytime soon neh. it just sitting out there. these things are gonna keep building up and firing off right on top of us on into the night and maybe again tomorrow if that dry line not move on by.

there is one guy who saw us loading car to go to gun range about 2 sai ago. he saw one of pops rifle and thought it was illegal and call the police. the police came really fast and pops was still recovering from the heart surgery at this time and a friend of his was going with us so he could drive. was big hassle. had to show proper license and everything. nosy people, sheesh.
as for weather guy being wrong, he was really wrong this time. scatter thunder shower ryo rear end neh. have since last night wave after wave of huge storm develop right on top of us. the dry line is parked just southwest of tarrant county, that's fort worth to the west of us. and it's not going anywhere. so the unstable air build up next to it and these big storm just explode right on top of us. and then it clear up for little bit and then we had another power outtage. now that just not fair neh. so it starting to cloud up and get dark again so look like nother one is about to build up and explode.

tornado shelters to dive into?? jus curious..cause i am looking into buying a storm shelter and having in instaled in my backyard
LittleDragon
we not have storm shelter. not really need one either. we only get an average of about 150 tornado each year. and most of them seem to just miss us. there are two very safe part of our house where if it get bad we can go there. we are right in the middle of "tornado alley" but it never hardly get bad enough where pops would consider to have a shelter built neh. and some of the "super cell" thunderstorms we get are much more powerful than a hurricane. yesterday evening we had one of these come through with winds of hurricane force above 80 mile an hour. you get so used to it in north central texas it not even bother you, unless the power or the dsl go out and ryo and little brother have learn much "entertaining" language from our pops when this happen neh.

u funny kid today

Good, I'm not the only one with grumpy neighbors than. LOL I hope the police were real understanding and not jecks like most of them are. Had that problem to a couple of times myself.
LittleDragon
the police were profession and detach at first, but then pops show id and license and federal id and they turn very respectful and nice. pops alway careful about having the proper papers and stuff he need for our family's weaponry neh. but he have not talk to this neighbor since either. the police went over this person house and explain to him that what he see may not alway be what he think he see.
Your friend,
LittleDragon

I know there are some great policemen out there, but I have seen a lot of the jerks too. Yes, I bet the policeman got very respectful after your pops showed all his ID's. You always have to have one neighbor than is a butt head. I will be back online later going to lay down for a bit.

You know Ive always wondered why the Dallas - Ft. Worth area doesnt have many tornado shelters. ryo - do you know? They just are not common here. We are a short distance from Moore Oklahoma...you'd think we'd have one in every backyard. I guess its gonna take the big one for people to install them.
LittleDragon
pops like to tell this story about what happen before ryo was born. think it was 1986, but not sure. have to confirm date with pops. there was an outbreak of 19 tornadoes that all hit at same time in richardson and tore the city to pieces. not one person was hurt. not even one! no deaths. no injury, nothing. but you right. there just are not hardly any shelters here at all. nobody seem to need them. most houses in dallas are built of brick and not wood so this have something to do with it and maybe the heavy slab foundation they are built on too. very few basement type house here either neh.

send some of that rain down south eh...dry as hell down here
Derecho
I remember 1984 when I was in Mesquite when a F3 ripped through the west side. There were cars up in trees, houses totally gone etc. It was December 12th when it happened. Crazy stuff. I beleive it moved north into Garland and Richardson. Maybe thats the one?
Speaking of...tornadoes happening SW of Fort Worth as we speak. Uugh...Here we go again :)
LittleDragon
it clear up here late this afternoon in north central texas. but on the radar early this morning saw it go through east texas. there's a dry line parked just southwest of fort worth and it not going anywhere. we could have more of this stuff on the way. or that dry line could fall apart too neh. never know. like we alway say here, if you not like the weather in texas, wait a minute!
Your friend,

LittleDragon
the rose farms and the citrus farms really need the rain in east texas neh. it very serious thing to our state economy.
