I am a lifetime member.

The NRA is the premier organization for standing up for our right to keep and bear arms. The 2nd Amendment is really the only guarantee of the rest of our rights.

If you like your guns, and you don't want your neighbors, or the citizens of a big liberal city in your vicinity, or some politician to start telling you what guns you need, or how you need to keep your guns, you should probably join the NRA.

There are plenty of people that vote that don't see our country as the Free-est, and most prosperous country that has ever existed. They see our country as backwards, and flawed and that it needs to be more like other countries that restrict the rights of its citizens.

And they vote accordingly.

My 7 year old daughter has already had her early experience with firearms. I've taught her safety aspects of a semi-auto how to unload, release magazine, and how to engage a safety. She was 18months old when she held her 1st firearm which was..are you ready for this??? A colt AR-15 with a 30 round mag, not loaded of course but she loved it. She goes to the range with me whenever i get a chance to take her.

Im A member, my kids are grown now, but when they were 3 years old I started them out with bb guns, then later 22's all the way to 12 gage. I was bound and determend to teach my 3 kids gun safty, and not to be afrade of guns. so public schools [liberals] would not brain wash my kids [gun control].

sweet deal guys the next thing you can do to keep our rights is to become a member of a gun club/range by doing this it pays for the ranges to stay open and give us a place to shoot or do like i am and get on the board of directors so you can have some input into what goes on in your area as far as guns

There has been nothing more clear and concise spoken about the bill of rights as that qoute. I am a life member of the NRA. I do not think it takes a Rhodes Scholar to understand the bill of rights. Each of the ten amendments seem pretty clear to me.

On a side note, and I apologize if I am veering off topic. I will start this statement with a caveat, I am still young and have much to learn. It seems to me that there are "tools" everywhere we look. A rock, a branch, a car, a firearm, you name it. Fear mongers have repeatedly told us that guns kill people. The "evil" that are guns has eluded my conciousness. It is only in the mind of the individual where that definition of tool becomes weapon. I think the NRA does a fine job of trying to teach this philosophy.

Here in "CommieFornia" the NRA is not as popular as it should be, mostly because it seems to some CA. gun owners that the NRA has written off CommieFornia and is concentrating their efforts on the other 49 states. Still, I am a life member, and support their efforts. There are other gun organizations that seem to place a higher priority on CommieFornia, and I also am a member of some of them.

It is odd, because it is fairly accurate to say that "As California goes, so goes the rest of the country." so it seems that the NRA should put MOST of their energy into this state to destroy the large anti-gun (Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Hollywood LEFT) gun grabbing force that has the ability to destroy the rest of America by "leading the way" to socialism. I'd personally like to see the NRA put a lot more effort into fighting the gun grabbers right HERE, right NOW.

but it comes down to the voters and who they elect and time after time they elect anti gun assclowns so i guess the nra feels like well, the klowniforians are not doing what they can so we will save the other staes first(kinda like earth first we'll log the other planets later)the other 49 first and we will save klownifornia later.oh by the way thanks klownifornia for the emissions laws here in washington state!
