Obama to Bibi: No surprises on Iran
It may be indicative just how low US-Israel relations have sunk that Barack Obama is warning Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu not to make any military moves against Iran without telling him.

Aluf Benn of Haaretz reports:

U.S. President Barack Obama has sent a message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanding that Israel not surprise the U.S. with an Israeli military operation against Iran. The message was conveyed by a senior American official who met in Israel with Netanyahu, ministers and other senior officials. Earlier, Netanyahu's envoy visited Washington and met with National Security Adviser James Jones and with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and discussed the dialogue Obama has initiated with Tehran.

The message from the American envoy to the prime minister reveals U.S. concern that Israel could lose patience and act against Iran. It is important to the Americans that they not be caught off guard and find themselves facing facts on the ground at the last minute.

Obama did not wait for his White House meeting with Netanyahu, scheduled for next Monday, to deliver his message, but rather sent it ahead of time with his envoy.

The likelihood of an Israeli strike without US knowledge just became a dead certainty.

No doubt if the Israelis informed the Obama White House in advance, news of the attack would leak. And Netanyahu must have figured out by now that Obama is more concerned with pursuing his "Grand Bargain" with Iran that with the security of Israel.

What's worrisome about this is that it calls into question just what steps an Obama administration would take to "punish" Israel if they attacked Iran. Given the hostility towards the Jewish state exhibited by several of his advisors, nothing would be unthinkable as a reaction by Obama.

Wouldn't you love to be in that room next week when Bibi sits down with our naive president?

And they probably will. There is nothing we can do to Israel. The jewish population is too large and influential to allow it. Israel should have told Bush to fuck off when he demanded they not kill Yassir Arafat in 2002, and they should tell Obama to fuck off now

that I know here in the USA are very Liberal. I try to remind them that Hitler was a Socialist, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. For some reason they seem Pacifistic in their beliefs. During WWII for one if they hadn't been disarmed it may have been different in the outcome of the Holocaust.
The Jewish mantra at the time was, when herded up, "It's God's Will" They just sort of accepted it. I am a firm believer in History repeating itself, unless you do something to change it.

I see that, samD

I wonder how jews here view the Israeli jews. And I wonder how much longer it will be before we are completely pacified by our own government.

support Israel, with money. But not morally or idealogically. I think they hedge their bet in case they need a place to go hide.

won't live forever and the kids are being indoctrinated from a young age. I wish i could home school my son, but I've seen the results of home schooled kids and they don't do well socially. I'm looking forward to PTA meetings and parent-teacher conferences.

We just need our own place, to be left alone without the Federal Monarchy.
Like Utah did for many years, if you weren't a Mormon you could work and prosper, but never be in a leader or supervisory capacity. You couldn't be elected dog catcher unless you were a Mormon. Now they have, ughhh, Liberal Arts Colleges and incrementalism is taking over. Maybe we should all meet up in Montana or somewhere, West Texas, shit I don't know. But it would be fun to be around like thinking folks. We could have a Zoo, with liberals on display!

actively Defend our right to this Republic. It is why I through that question out about what our military and LLE would do if we had to protect the Constitution. I will not go down without a fight.
That is why I so vehemently fought against maddog and 5in1killa. It was the camel's nose peeking under the tent. We have to keep all Liberal idealogues out of here. This is our House, our Haven. I find enough to argue with in my own family and friends.

many different forms of action. As for me, I like the Israeli model, both philosophically and practically. Even though I am 77 years old, I can think of no better way to go down than physically being in the fight. I believe that every man and woman should be a soldier, in some way. I believe that what has been started in places like Montana, Oklahoma , Utah and Texas, is a reflection of a different form of soldiering. Imagine what might follow if 30 or 40 of the States served notice on the Feds, in legislation which invokes the operant language of the US constitution, but also followed by action. Imagine 200 million "citizens" refusing to remit federal income taxes. Imagine coalitions of States watching eachothers backs. I suspect , by the end of this century, that we will be back much closer to the structure of government contemplated by our founding fathers.
At present, WE are faced with an urgent crisis:
WHY has samD's avatar been changed to a modernized version of the JOKER!!??

I just needed a change of the avatar. Wanted to be more mean spirited(their word) looking to the loony left.

Batman, but secretly liked some of his adveraries. But you might find some better, more mean spirited faces: like Ayatollah Khamenei or Rahm Emanuel or Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. Hell--there are some folks here, that would say, "use a pic of LLE--he's the biggest shithead around!!" LMAO

envisioned... It's a whole different world today, than it was 230+ years ago, yet, the principles upon which our government was founded have remained virtually unchanged.

The "Patriot" movement has three main "Core" issues that its followers embrace, the Bill of Rights (that's where we gun-nuts fall in), Fair-Taxation (homeschoolers/private schoolers take note), and the right to be left alone (which isn't mentioned anywhere in the bill or rights). Most of us agree that no nation can remain civilized without some degree of government but what I don't understand is the degree to which our government WANTS/NEEDS to be involved in our daily lives.
This nation of Law has become a nation of Entitlements, and both parties have disregarded the needs of the people in favor of the needs of the government. Then, they explain to me that I'm not intelligent enough to understand why they need to confiscate a third - two fifths of my income to keep this great nation going, and its government, GROWING. That should come as no surprise to me, though, because I am, after all, a product of their public schools, and their public universities.
I used to always associate the word "REVOLUTION" with leftist political movements (Thank you MSM) but have now come to realize that sometimes revolution is necessary to do what is right.

dear friend birdebyrd

as long as there are fathers in this country like our pops, then children like self and little brother will gladly take up the responsibility to guarantee the future of our country. it is hombun neh. (hombun is a nihongo word that translate into solemn duty.)
it is the duty of all young people in our country to guarantee to our fathers that our nation will go on, will survive, will do better, will create goodness and all good things possible.
you have the promise of two sons of a good american father on this!

You aren't like most younger people I run across. Of course, that's probably been said about every generation. I applaud the wisdom of those who understand the meaning of duty, (that means you, too).
I have a fifteen year old daughter who wants to join the army when she's old enough. She doesn't have much of a like, or dislike for guns, but she values the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and even expressed an interest in going to Law School (I'm not sure how I feel about that). She and I seldom see things the same way, but we do share that common ground about upholding the principles upon which our nation was founded.

ryo have 15 year old brother ryu kun, who would very much like to meet your daughter!
thank you for your wisdom. ryo is not a politic person, but things like the honor of our country and the future of our country and the wealth and wisdom of our country go beyond anything connected to political things. ryo often read posts about politic things on Gunslot and often just not understand. political things seem to be beyond capability of ryo. or maybe ryo is just not very wise in such matter. freely admit this is very possible. but things you say touch ryo heart. touch heart in way that ryo felt was important enough to respond. ryo would normally never make comment on political issues, but what you say make ryo think hard. am glad that there are other fathers in america of like mind to my pops. even though our family come to america more than 100 year ago from nihon, (japan) we are very much as american as any other american family.

I will be, samD

liberal teachers will hate me when I come to the meetings with digital recordings of their classes with questions about their lectures. I know parents are busy and I may be completely naive, as I am a new (19 months) parent, but I will enforce dinner time around the table, I will have one of the snooper connectors that record all the websites my son visits, I will demand more of an answer than "nothing" when I ask my son what he did in school each day, and I am not at all above spying on my boy. I can't wait for the day when another parent accuses me of violating my boy's right to privacy.

but I highly doubt liberals will take over or change our views in here. I am still irritated that you delete 5in1's posts before i have a chance to read and get my licks in, but that's your perogative as moderator. As for actively defending our rights, I hope to god it doesn't come to that, but if it does, I hope to god it happens while I'm still physically capable as I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I have to rely on my son to do what my generation should have done.

But i am very irritated/angry/pissed off/pissed on about the reversal of roles between the feds and the states. The feds have clear limitations on their authority with all other authority not specifically mentioned reserved for the states or the people. The feds telling the states governments what to do within their own jurisdictions is a violation of the constitution and should be reversed.

Your view of home schooled kids not doing well socially is a myth. I was home schooled. I played sports @ my local school and went to home school events targeted at socializing us once or twice a week. I have tighter friends as a result and better social skills than most .
The home school network is vast and the opportunity's endless. I was a letterman @ my local school in baseball and wrestling.
