I just read on the internet that in a speech to a Gay Rights group today Obama said that he will definitely end the "don't ask don't tell" law for the military. He also said that he will repeal the Defense of Marriage Act. If anyone had any doubts, this should dispel them.

is not that there are gays in the military I knew quite a few when I was in, but this opens up another whole set of problems. Now if they are openly gay and don't get a promotion are they going to start screaming they didn't get it because there gay? Or they got this duty or that duty because there gay? It just seems to give somebody else another reason for a promotion based on descrimination and screws somebody who actually deserves it.

America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall. If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!
