For future planning, I wonder if anyone has good sources for replica blackpowder guns. My goal is to collect one of every model revolver used by Clint Eastwood in his westerns. That does not include the Broomhandle Mauser he used in Joe Kidd, a dumb fuckin' movie. My first choice is going to be the Remington Model 1858 like he used in Pale Rider, then the Colt 1860 Army like he used in The Outlaw Josey Wales. I have read that he also used a pair of 1847 Walker Colts in that movie, but I need to research to make sure they weren't the 2nd or 3rd Model Colt Dragoons that were born out of the Walkers. So to reiterate, if anyone has a good source for replica blackpowder guns, I'm looking for
Remington Model 1858
I'm still trying to figure out which muskets would have most likely been found in the home of the colonial minutemen. I've narrowed it down to a possibility of the English Brown Bess or the French 1728. Maybe the Kentucky or Pennsylvania long rifle, but more likely captured or old issued military arms.
