So I think I have given up on finding steel cased ammo for my dad's winchester 670. I have heard enough warnings about steel cased ammo at the pressures of a 30-06 cartridge in a gun not designed around steel cases.
So that said, my dad found a couple boxes of some remington 30-06 ammo he purchased in the late 70s. Is there any danger shooting 30+ year old ammo?
I haven't seen it yet but we live in the desert so moisture shouldn't be an issue and its been out of the heat and sun. I will go by tomorrow or Wednesday to look at it for signs on any obvious problems.
