Single man, mid 50's. Need ya'lls input about a supposedly Glock C-19 semi-auto for sale for only $250.00 Nothing shady, just a co-worker, but I'm not a so-called enthusiast; would just like to feel safe anywhere. I can't seem to find this particular model of Glock I don't think. Am I being scammed; withdrew money from bank today. Not bought yet. Any help would appreciated. Sam |

might be a compensated model. If compensated it will have two ports milled in the top of the slide for gas release to tame so called barrel flip and perceived recoil.
$250 is a DAMN good price. As long as it shoots and feeds. I would ask for a 3 day trial. If he is honest, he won't have any problems with that. Do you have a boss or somebody who can hold the money. I have bought 3 guns on-line auctions and not had a problem, lucky I guess. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you; this guy keeps saying c-19 and some other with that. So you say it should be 19C, is that right? And also, I think I just saw a 19C for $28.95; what's that about? That's not what I'm about to pay $250 for is it?

go to the glock website and get all the info you need.. for 28.95 was probably for a magazine. 250 would be a good deal if nothing is wrong with it. if you dont want it, let me know, ill buy it right now.

Handgun. I own one. It is a great gun. Don't know of any 19C for 28.95. That Glock now costs in the $500 range new in box. Where do you live, is person to person transfer legal. If you in Arizona it is OK. Make sure serial number is legible. Underneath gun on receiver.

It's a compact 17, which is the standard. The 19 is compact, the 26 is a subcompact, and the 34 is a competition model. The biggest difference is the length of the barrel. All four of these are 9mm models. Of course, the seller may be confused. Glock itself talks of the 'C Model' as compensated, so they aren't consistent in their own terminology. A Compensated model costs a bit more new, so if it is a 19C it's an even better deal. Of course, that begs the question. Do you WANT a compensated model? (For that price, sure) But some people don't like it because if you have to fire close in to yourself, the blast can get you. Also, there have been complaints about the flare affecting night vision.

Thanks, all you guys, you've helped me come to same conclusion. For 250 it's a hell-of-a deal. Been almost 28yrs. since I almost blew my wife's foot off in the kitchen one nite as I was reloading a .357 mag. I had just cleaned. Haven't felt like I could trust myself around me with a gun for a long time; but times are diff. now. Anyway, thanks alot. P.S. Talk to ya'll after firing tests. Sam

great now you have 17 rounds to try an get her foot or maybe both. wise choice. may i suggest a pro 77 pellet gun instead??
anyway the C is in reference to being compensated on this model.

is plenty of time to 'get single' in the meantime. Staying married for a lifetime is a notable achievement these days.
