My question is this; if someone uses cover and concealment, pies a corner, and kills the enemy with a Swiss K31, is it a tactical rifle? Or does it has to be black with rails?

old rifle

I think it is the soldier that is tactical, not the weapon. the rifle is just an extention of the soldiers body. if a soldier pies a corner with a nagant, then it becomes a tactical weapon because of tactics in my opinion....confused?

IMHO a tactical rifle is any rifle used in defense, especialy in the instance that you wrote of.

I don't have a decent pic. I think my avatar represents the shadow that is everywhere, cutting the throats of ragheads, even if they don't wear rags-wait. no, that's silentdeath46. I'm not worthy of having a representative picture

I tried to post a pic of my butt as my avatar, but my camera doesn't have a panoramic setting

Love my swede 6.5 X55

I too have a love for the old WW1 and WW11 weapons, My 6.5 x 55 swede has dropped some massive white tail's in Upper Michigan. Strong action and flat shooter.
I have 3 of them now 2 carbines and one long rifle. Norma sells 139 grain boat tail that really knocks them down. I load most of my own ammo now since the price has gone out of this world.
