Only in Florida.....

So get this: I'm certified by the state of Florida to carry a weapon on duty, don't even need a concealed weapons permit to carry on my person, and have the authority in my job to shoot and kill another human being. But, in spite of all that, the state of Florida thinks I should have to take a hunter safety course, complete with a test and range day, before I can hunt. You've got to be shitting me.

hunting and CC

2 different things,i can see the states point. The hunter safety course covers more than gun handling,it also covers conservation, field safety training such as how to cross over a fence,enter/exit a tree stand, etc.,rules and regulations for hunting seasons.

Here it is an online course with one field day, shooting and a classroom test.I took the course years ago, after i got out of the USMC( where i was a rifle/pistol instructor). You need the hunter safety certification if you ever want to hunt in several western states like Colorado,Wyoming. No matter what age you are.

i tried being reasonable,i didn't like it, NRA LIFE MEMBER,USMC VETERAN
