I became very interested in the other gun related websites available today, when there was all the discussion going on about Gunslot.
As I stated in a comment during the discussions, I love Gunslot, and enjoy it every day.
That said, if anyone can give me listings of any other gun related websites I'd really like to visit them and see what they're like. If there's an opportunity to learn something new, I'd like to do it.

Exactly CW!

ecaman wants to learn, so we shall show him what is on the other side of the fence, we know where is the better place..IMHO

It would be wise to understand that we came somewhat close to becoming "Snobsville" today, had things gone a little different.............Food for thought, gents!

ecaman,

If you want to log in without actually joining, PM me and I will give you my user name and password, so that you can use my account as a learning tool.

I spent about ten minutes at this site, not because it is a bad site (very informative, but too "busy" for me)...please compare it to Gunslot...enjoy!

what type of sites are you looking for? info on AR's, AK's, Glock's, Sig's, HK's, gun values, battle rifles, precision rifles? There are a lot of specific sites out there with a lot of good info.

Hampster- we are about as far from "snobsville" as it gets. No matter what we talk about here, no one will confuse us with being snobs... not with our honkey ass red neck members! Thats for damn sure. I know we have a few wine and cheese types, but they probably drive ford trucks and watch nascar too. I've actually learned quite a bit from some gun snobs!

I consider myself a "honkey ass redneck member", although I prefer "Utah Hick"......BTW, Whine..er..ah..I mean wine and cheese types drive Porsches, not Fords. I run into that crowd all summer out at MMSP as I hand them thier asses in my Subaru...FWIW, I have learned some from gun snobs as well!

I'm not looking for anything in particular, I just would like to see what's out there.
As to my personal favorites, they're revolvers of all sorts (although I get bored quickly when I'm in a group of people talking at great length about Colt SAA's), .22 LR semiautos, hunting shotguns, lever action rifles (although I get just as bored listening to dedicated collectors going on and on about 1873 variations as I do about SAA's).
I'm also very interested in concealed carry gear and options. I try to carry constantly (which has caused some consternation at the dentist's office!), and with some dress codes this can present a problem. For example, there's no way I've found to use a pocket holster in Levis - they fit so tight that it's very uncomfortable. IWB holsters that I've tried aren't comfortable either. I'd need pants 2 sizes larger than I normally wear. Fortunately, nobody looks twice at a 71 year old guy with arthritis, so belt slide holsters are usually OK, even for my Charter .44 Spl Bulldog.
I have little personal interest in AR's, AK's, etc., or much of anything else military. Many of them are wonderful firearms in which I have an academic interest and appreciation, but I don't wish to own any of them.
Thanks to all for your help, and I appreciate any leads you can give me.
