Who knows.. Maybe it is in ways we don't understand. Gloria and i are pretty sad right now, she went out this morning and raked up the back yard so he wouldn't get any "nasties" in his paw.. i called the Vet for an update.. Max was found dead in his pen this morning.. The biopsy was done, we don't have time lines on when, or whats known.. Only the obvious that it must have been related to the tumor in some way..

I haven't been off the phone very long, you guys were all so supportive, that mattered to both of us.. We were both afraid this could happen.. Doc's going to call back.. Were going to make sure that what ever costs (surgery for, and cost of biopsy) are billed to us.. That way he "was" our little guy.. Tell you what i just told Gloria, sad as it is, it would have been much worse to have him home and lose him..

Brownie (the reason we went to Vet to start with) is doing fine, and when Doc John calls im going to tell him to call us the next time he winds up with a stray in the kennel.. maybe we can have a "name" thread.. Anyway thanks for all the thoughts and prayers guys.. and don't worry about doing our normal "check" deal.. i know you all care, you showed that from the very first.

This is just an update, nothing else needed, your friendship, and past comments are enough..

This was important to us, the Vet called couple hours after i posted this, and told me what happened.. we had told them to do a biopsy, and proceed accordingly. depending on the results. sure enough, it was bad, and had spread, so per our instructions the vet put him down..

it was not a case of him being found in his pen as i had been told.(think maybe the receptionist didn't know what to say..) Very compassionate vet, told me he held him while he put him under so the little guy was not alone, and by our taking care of charges we "did" adopt him..
