Palm trees

Mine died in the winter. Dammit! I need to know how to cut these things down. They are Washingtonian palms. I done tried a chain saw. It was like cutting a wet rope. Clogged the thing up in nothing flat. You Fla guys got any advice?

In all seriousness

Best thing you could do is dig a circle around it about 5 feet from the base. Put a chain on it up high and snatch it with a chain then drag it where you can burn it.

It will destroy a chain saw blade, at least one....

It has a Root Ball which will be about 1 foot in diameter per 2 years of growth up until it is about 6 feet in Dia....

Yuka Plants

I was thrown off my YZ125 into a punch of them one time. That sucked.

Ended up being thrown off the hood of a 1968 Roadrunner one night Hood Surfing across a ditch and into a patch of Palmetto's too. That sucked even more because the car was doing around 45 when he slammed on the breaks to avoid a Gator that was in the road. Back before they built up the area where the Dump is at it used to be called Twin Lakes and was a dirt road. It was out version of Dirt Bike / 4x4 Heaven. Then they sold some of the land and ran all of us out, though it took them 10 years to do it. Now 30 years later a new generation is invading it and I laugh my ass off every time I hear someone bitch about the kids and their dirt bikes.
