Para-Ordanance 1911

My local Pawnshop has one. I can say with all honesty that it is the best lookin 1911 I have ever personally seen. But the price seemed a bit steep to me. $650.00? Is that a fair price? Im not lookin to buy it yet and I highly doubt that I will but IF its a fair price for it then I may pass the info on to a friend since he is a semi auto pistol lover. but $650 seems a bit over kill right? Even if the tag with the price says new I can guarentee it was fired atleast once so it should have the tag that says "New" and "Used"

too many factors to determine price... every pistol has been fired atleast twice before you touch it, even the "new" ones.

take a look at Budsgunshop.com and see what they are selling their Dealer Demo's priced at... should give you an idea of what a known un shot Para in that model goes for...

Just checked Para-Usa and there prices for Brand new Para 1911's are $659.00. Seems like the pawnshop is trying to pass there's off as Brand spankin new. Which it maybe since I havent held it yet. When I turn 21 in 10 days I will go and fondle it a bit and give more detail to ya all.

Yea he came up with the cash. I made him an offer & tried like hell to talk him out of it, but no good. I was really hoping after I got started on the job that I could talk him out of it. If anything he needs a wheel gun, & I'm not 100% sold on that idea for him either?????

Yes I do, IWB, BS and Pancake. I do not do any of the tooling on them. I can, but I really am not into that. Rather spend the time and effort on making it long lasting and solid.

Hand stitched double row, glued, 7 ounce Veg tanned Steer Hide outer and Horse Hide inner lining.

I've been putting together a collection of blue guns slowly to expand the makes and models.

I'll pm you about something I've been kicking around talking with my wife about doing.

I have a big-ass hill behind my house that would be great for sledding on. My wife has already taken my son and it's bullshit. I should have been there for that. Oh well, I'll have to be the one to introduce him to truck bumper skiing when he gets a little older.

When the water lines freeze here my step dad runs an extinsion cord under the house and sets a small heater near the water lines, not to close but close enough to thaw them. Also im sure I dont have to tell ya the importance of safety with it but keep an eye on the heater and check your water lines every hour if you try this. I know it works here for my familaya
