IF YOU LOOK BACK 34 weeks, we had a discussion about the subject. Now justice has been done, except for the potential greivous harm done to the victims.
Those executives who knew--and acted as conspiritors to cover-up the "facts" AND DO NOTHING, were fired or resigned. The reputation of an heroic, lionized football coach has been rightfully shattered, and it remains to be seen, whether State of Pennsylvania law enforcement will present to a Grand Jury, and obtain criminal indictments against the executives.
It also remains to be seen whether individual civil suits--or even a class-action suit may be filed by the victims, against the State of Pennsylvania.
And if that is not enough, there is TALK that the NCAA may censure the Penn State athletic programs. [IMO that would be tragic for the student athletes, who had nothing to do with the case, and it would probably result in mass defections to other schools].
As I mentioned 34 weeks ago, it is personally very troubling to see this kind of idiocy permeating our cherished institutions.
I want to recognize all who participated in this discussion, 34 weeks ago, and thank allay'all for proving once more, we have lots of smarts on this site.
