I'm looking for a small weapon to carry in my pocket and currently looking at the LCP and PF9. Can any of you folks provide any feedback both positive and negative on both weapons.

You need to shoot them before you buy. It is a individual choice because everybody has different experiences.
Find a range to rent both and then decide.

that is one of my fears and I also have heard that you really have to be holding on when you shot as it will jump out of your hand if your not ready.

A friend (LE) bought an LCP(backup) and said it was a lot of bang and recoil due to the light weight and small frame. I have a Colt Pony and I know what that is like (if you don't practice with it, it's an eyeball gun). If you got to get a "pocket"gun, go with the Ruger. I only say that because I've only had a positive experience with their products. If you want a .380, I would look at Glock and Sig. Not "pocket"models but a more manageable size. Or, get a revolver, but you still have to deal with that recoil and lack of sight plane in a pocket pistol.

(You have to look behind all of that outer space stuff)

After reading all the different opinions, I may just go with either the glock 27 or the little brother of my current PX4 Storm and get the sub-compact for the reason of recoil and ammo. I was just about to buy the LCP today and the store I was at has not had any 380 ammo and has no idea when it will be available. I do appreciate all you folks opinions and experience on the comparisons.
