oatmeal solution

grind up a cup of oatmeal in to a fine powder and dumb into the tub and sit in it, or if it is in a small area slap some mud on it and let it dry, and finally benadryl these always worked for our family. Good luck.

Shakelford, poison ivey rash is an immune response that causes inflammation, so R3bauer is right, take some benadryl, that will help greatly in suppressing the immune response and taking away some inflammation and the itching. THe calemine works for some people to sooth the area. Also OTC hydrocortisone cream 1% might help too to put on it if you don't want to use the messy pink stuff. And why don't you want to pay your doctor for a cortisone shot?? Your doc might need to buy a new gun or something. LOL.

This is a bit un-conventional, but I'll take an old wash cloth, cover it with gasoline, and scrub the crap out of the area that I have poison ivy or oak. You may not wanna do it, but It has always dried it up for me. Just trying to help!!!! Good luck with it!!

ointment

1-5 oz.taken internally every 2-4 hours 'til symptoms fade or are no longer problematic.

Amber-colored liquid, comes in a glass bottle, black label, says "Jack Daniels"on it.

Works for poison ivy, hangovers, trench foot, and a host of other ailments. Discontinue use after 1-2 days, or if work is missed, car is repossessed, or spouse leaves.

really?

I thought you were suppose to double or even triple the dosage if work is missed, car is repossessed or spouse leaves. Damn, I'm always doing shit the hard way

Posion Ivy

This one stings a bit but good if it is on your hand and arms.. Warm water salt the water till no more salt dissolves and then about two caps full of bleach. mix and soak. yes it stings but drys it up pretty quick. warning if you are hairy it might lighten the hair color. I use this every time i get it.

I have no friends and no one would miss me if i was gone from this earth.
