John.. your situation has caused me to think about the issue of the whole "gunslut" connection, when i found out (vaq, phone) that you had a rejection issue, it rocked me.. Thank God they have a handle on it.. Sorry you went thru that buddy, but sure glad it looks better.. Your issue coupled with Hamp friends Steve, our bud Bad Landing down in Roswell, and LLE's surgery, made me realize how important you guys are, and how our friendship matters.. I'm going to open up here..

We have a friendship here guys.. We might joke about the whole "net" thing, but i think we all appreciate each other, the shared interest goes a lot further than just "guns" .. all of us that have been here for a bit, and a lot of you guys who are newer know this..

I haven't been on today, and just got a call from Vaq about Johns condition.. Pard didn't say "get your ass on, and say a prayer for our buddy".. Didn't have to.. He did know that i would want to know this, see thats the deal guys "we want to know".. I've got blood family that im not as close to as a number of you guys.. That bothered me for awhile.. We're my priorities straight?.. After all it is just an "Internet connection" right?.. NOPE.. when you share as much laughter, good times, and bad times as we've shared its a lot more than that..

Were guys, so this isn't something we do easy.. (glad of that, cause it matters when we do) far as im concerned, it's time to acknowledge the friendship we have, and make the commitment to have each others back.. To keep in touch when we need prayer, or just a friendly word.. Were NOT a bunch of whack job fringe element weird O's.. OK .. most of ya aren't and im working on it, that oughta count for something..

This site is important to all of us, but whats the most important to me, and i would bet money to all of you, is the shared friendship we've developed.. Those prayers we say matter just as much regardless of having met each other or not.. I can laugh at something you guys have found funny and shared just as easy (maybe easier) kicked back with the lap top as being across the table from you.. The one shared value we have is our word, and you guys have my word that if i know you need pray.. You'll have it..

This is from the heart.. Got a couple son-n-laws i call "friends".. have a couple guys in the neighborhood that i might see once every two three weeks, go shooting with a couple three times every year.. No VFW up here, so i joined the Legion, been inside it twice in six years.. Guess im not what you call a joiner huh.. Picky about my friends, haven't had more than a dozen i'd call close in my life.. Right now.. Right this second.. If someone said pick half a dozen close friends.. Guys i can say with total honesty that outside of the son-n-laws.. i'd be looking at you guys.. Glad i know everyone of you..

Here's wishing and praying [non-denominationally] for your speedy recovery. I knew, that a large number of my friends did that for me three weeks+ ago and continuing, and although there is no scientific explanation for it, my recovery speed and level have been miraculous. Even my surgeon, finds it hard to believe. I told him it's always good to have LOTS of good friends, "down here", because that's how " somebody "up there" gets to hear about you.

I want to thank all of you. ISD: We are broadcasting on lots of different frequencies. The message will be received " loud and clear"!!!

Hey, got an idea.. how bout asking them to design a "pocket" to fit inside that opening.. be a perfect place for a concealed weapon.. My little Freedom arms 1".22 would fit right in there.. Just a thought here, not sure if you'd have a Velcro flap or a zipper.. one of those small details that you could work out with the surgeon.. If it goes over well we could market the idea as the "LLE head holster"

I doubt that the unused space in the right parietal/temporal area can handle the physical size and weight of even a small 22, and also, it might make for a difficult left handed cross draw.
I think the easier design would be to use my "Open Range", Bobby Duval hat. The crown has plenty of unused space for concealing an effective defensive handgun.

Thinking the sight of someone lifting up part of their scalp would end most "issues" before they got started.. On the weight thing.. think my little 5 shot only weighs 5 oz or so.. next to nothing.. you might have a bit of a "list to port" but out side of that it would be ok..
