Purchased 2 guns

Got a Charter Arms 38 special for myself and a Beretta 3032 TOMCAT for my wife.... tried the Ruger 380, but she couldn't load the round in the chamber. It was too tough for her to pull it back....to tell the truth, it was almost too hard for me..I like the way you load the cartridge in the chamber of the Beretta, and the hammer stays in its down condition , not cocked.. Nice feature.

im just wondering

if you just needed to break them in....My buddy bought a Colt 1911 the same day i bought my Sig...and while he was talkin to the salesman i was checking it out....i pulled theslide back to check out the chamber and it would'nt slide back...i thought i broke the damn thing...i was slapping it trying to get it to budge and finally it snapped back...i built up a good sweat on that one...anyways he bought it and once he took it home and pre-cleaned and oiled it , it ran like a champ....

Didn't

think of that... but the salesperson that was showing us, was a woman, of a pretty good size, and she made it look like childs play. It was almost embarassing. Anyway , my wife is very happy with the Beretta... Going to try them out next week...

Good for you ebear,

guns aren't for everyone, but they are a necessary evil if we hope to remain free as the 'Founding Fathers' intended........I wish more people realized this!

Ruger slide

I admit it is a bit stiff to begin with, but after a couple of mags (6 rounds each) through it it's loosened up noticeably and runs flawlessly. Like ebear said, as long as you are happy with what you got. Let us know how the Beretta does for you.

Show and Tell!

A buddy of mine brought a couple of Rugers to church tonight to show me. The LCP 380 based on the Kel-Tec P3AT design and the LCR 38sp weighing in @ only 7oz. Both were sweet guns and would be great for carry.

Evening all.. Good to see you guys, and wish i could stay but its been one LONG day and going to have to try to make the stoned geezer meeting in the am. I didnt know that LCR was that light JIm, thats like half the weight of my airweight.. I can tell you right now the 38 special has more stoping power than the 380/9 kurtz..

But of course you have some other issues in the mix (magazines as opposed to speedloaders) and being able to hit something.. Only half joking about that.. when you get that light weight with a 38 your dealing with SERIOUS recoil. Sure hope you can fire them both.. obviously either will do the trick.. You are going to find more options on ammo, and cheaper with the 38 super.. Keep us posted..

I asked some of the same questions! When he handed me the 38 it felt like a fake display model & I asked about the recoil and he said he only shot it 1 time because of a recent finger injury it liked to killed him. So I am a little leary there.

How ya doing? I think I told ya before , I carry a mix of hand guns, from a little pocket 22 auto, 380 auto, 2 1/4 " 357 mag & my P345 45 auto, It is preferance & what you feel right with & can handel with comfort, as you have been told those light weights really let you feel the recoil.
Try them all if possible, If you are not pretty experienced or have someone to work with that is I would go with the wheel gun first. Get highly proficent with that then try an autoo if you like??
Hey, just my 2 shiny ones worth??
