threaten the life of a ALQuieda leader?? and why can't a private citizen declare war on a whole nation. maybe our more intelligent members [ LLE ] might have a thought about this

I have reasons for the things I do, just don't expect them to be reasonable

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — An American armed with a pistol and a 40-inch sword was detained in northern Pakistan and told investigators he was on a solo mission to kill Usama bin Laden, a police officer said Tuesday.

The man was identified as 52-year-old Californian construction worker Gary Brooks Faulkner, said officer Mumtaz Ahmad Khan.

and I thank Ivantank for the nice compliment.

Seems to me, the laws of the country in which you are "detained" hold sway over what you can do or not do, or even say, for that matter. I suspect the Pakistani authorities had every right to question why a Yankee was walking around with an OC pistol and a 40" sword; they probably thought it was unlikely he was a "soldier" of one of the local war lords, so he might be a danger to the civilian population---you know how "those crazy Americans" are.

As for an individual declaring war--- go ahead--knock yourself out---do it. What is it going to mean to your "enemy", from a practical standpoint?? They will simply ignore you. You have little or no resources with which to threaten them, and most of the international community will consider you a crackpot. LOL

As for [personally] threatening the life of an al Qaida leader, I doubt that would be treated seriously, except that others might feel you are in need of psychiatric help, mostly because they can get to you much more easily than you can get to them!! LMAO
