I am considering a 9mm Carbine. I know, I know, but is a logistical and economy of shooting and protection.
What do you think of the Kel_Tec Sub2000 or the Ruger CX4 Storm? Or any other good ideas?

9mm carbine

If its economy you're looking for, I bought a Hi-Point 9mm carbine to keep in my skiff. I bought it so I wouldn't have to worry about the salt water since it's so cheap. 4 years a few thousand rounds and a little rust later its still plunking. man am I impressed for 2 hundred bucks.

9mm carbine

I've never shot the kel tec as Im not a fan of their company. I found this comment under a "worst gun you own" thread on thehighroad.org...
"Not when it causes injury! I therefore elect my (former) Kel_Tec SUB2000 carbine, as it KABOOMED many times with aftermarket mags, causing many numb hands, and a few small scars......" (any its UGLY as hell, just my opinion)

As for the CX4 Storm, that is a baretta. if this is what you are talking about, just read the one liner under "summary"

Unless you meant Ruger's PC 9 which is basically a 9mm version of the mini 14.

Why not go for an AR type like this bushmaster?

I know it will be a little more expensive than the others... but if I were going to buy a 9mm carbine, this would be my choice.

If you want to get something cheaper... I would go with the ruger or beretta over the kel tec or hi point

I agree with you on Beretta or Ruger. That CX4 is rather sexy looking though. As i am retired and the Stock Market has significantly shortened my life span and disposable income, I will have to go with something economical for this one as I still plan on the AR type .308 also.

SamD ar 30

are you thinking about the 10 or the bolt action 30. I Have been trying to find reviews for the Ar 30 in .308 but haven't had any luck.
