The story is a little shacky but it sounds like they probably did the right thing and let the cops deal with the drunk. I think I would have just stepped back into my apartment and called the police.If he came threw the door all "Here's Johnny" style then he would have met Jesus.I think the LEO's would have made those people's life a living hell if someone would have pulled a gun on the drunk swordsman.

The way I read it, the victim's wife grabbed the samurai and clocked him a few times. Sorry, maybe it's the balls talking here, but I would NEVER be able to look my wife in the eye again if she ka-klowed some guy with a sword and I was the one calling the cops.
