greasypaws
never heard of it but that aint surprising.if i ever make it that far east i'll look for it.i like bbq and a place with wings in the name probably has very good bbq

Greasy,
My favorite recipe for wild game requires a container that is fire resistant, some fuel, and fire.
First you set up the fuel in the container, I would recommend oak, but it is really your choice.
Next you place the game on a grate above the fire.
let it cook on one side for about 7 minutes depending on thickness and flip it over 7 minutes on this side. Take off and let sit for about 3 minutes.
Eat with your favorite beverage.
I do not put any spices, rubs, or sauces on wild game. I enjoy the flavor as it is. Sauces, rubs, seasonings are for chicken, beef, and pork in my opinion.

Shoot it and eat it. Cooking is for homo sapiens.

?

abacus,
do you mean homo sapien sapien? Or were you trying to make a joke about the first humans to use fire? If that is the case, great Dennis Miller reference style of joke!!

I wasn't really trying for my joke to THAT cognitive. Homo sapien sapien is still in the homo sapien family, our brains are jsut slightly more developed.
What I was trying to say was that my recipe is for Neanderthals. Maybe I should have said "cooking is for CroMagnon"

Mmmm, finally a topic I know something about! I love to cook.
I lived in Hawaii for a few months in college and "Huli Huli" is very popular there. It basically means "Turn Turn" in reference to the rotisserie way of cooking it, but the sauce has a distinct barbecue flavor that is excellent on chicken, pork, or pretty much any meat you can think of. I attempted to recreate the flavor and this is what I ended up with and have used for years:
About 5 lbs of meat, cut in manageable pieces
1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/8 to 1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 to 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Place the meat on rack of broiler pan. Broil 6 to 8 inches from heat for about 10 minutes on each side. Combine remaining ingredients and baste the meat. Continue broiling about 10 more minutes on each side, basting frequently with sauce.
If you have the time, double the sauce and use half of it as a marinade. Just put it in big Ziploc baggies and stick it in your fridge overnight (or however many hours you have).
I've never personally done this on the grill, but the smoky flavor would make it even better!

We got BW3 here in MN, but BBQ at home is still the best. I will try out the recipie above. Got to agree with Clint....Burn and turn...lol

TC,
Thanks for the recipe. It sounds like the Korean BBQ sauce also.
They saw the ribs thru the bone and marinade & BBG...
My mouth is watering, damn near lunchtime.
