i am interested in purchasing a 50BMG and have heard different things about several models, barrett, armalite and bushmaster. Anyone have input on these models?

my recommendation is check out your local gun range and see if they have a 50 cal shoot and if they do then go to it and talk to some of the owner/shooters and see what they recommend.to me it is kinda like a toyota owner trying to recommend a peterbuilt.he might steer you in the right direction but then when you are talking that kinda money who wants to gamble!

50 BMG i am sooooooooooooo jealous. I would try shooting a few before you buy, if you can find a place to ren them, that big investment is not something you want to guess on

How much are you willing to spend first? I can help you but need to know what kind of budget you have?

For 5,000 you can buy the AR-50 Armalite with a Nightforce NXS 5.5x22x56mm scope and rings for under $5,000. The Bushmaster and the Barrett will cost you $4,000 to $4,500 without a scope.

i would like a scope but i can buy that later if i have to. I am more interested in a good rifle. Where did you find the Armalite with the scope? I found a bushmaster ba50 for 4555.00 delivered but it would not arrive before christmas. I thought a single action was more of a pain instead of one with a magazine?

Knesekguns.com from Arkansas have the Armalite AR-50 with everything but the scope for $3,095. The Nightforce NXS 5.5x22x56mm scope will cost $1,568 for the scope. Best scope for the 50 BMG rifle. I'm not sure if they sale Bushmaster or not.

The Model 99 is a single shot and the Model 95 has a 5 round magazine. You would have to call Knesek Guns for a price. They phone number is 1-479-474-1680.

jazzy!

if you got the cash to spend buy a single shot and a shit load of ammo!true marksman enjoy the single shot rifles better because they have to make each shot count as they cant just pull the trigger for another shot.single shots are generally a bit cheaper and then that will allow for your budget to buy more ammo!

Is a tough decision

If he is not going to reload for the 50 BMG. Good match ammo will cost $5.00 or more a round for the good ammo. Barrett does make some great ammo for the 50 BMG. Just let me know, and I will be glad to help.
