I finally reloaded 20 rounds of 45 colt. 15 grains of 2400 with a Hornady 250 XTP. Hopefully I do not blow up my gun....little nervous.
Taking odds on me blowing a finger off....

as long as you are within what the loading manuel says then you will be ok.

Yes, by all means, always do what the book says. I have loaded for my 30-40 kraig for years. I have found that Dupont IMP 3031 powder with CCI large rifle primers and Sierria 165 gr. bullets work well.
I have never loaded pistol ammo. Shot gun yes.
Like fordvg says, do what the book recomends. Hand loads are more accurate, and less expinsive.

The first time I reloaded was for my Glock 22 and I was wishing I had a clamp and string for the first few rounds. I think it's something just about every handloader thinks about their first time.
