Sorry Mike

I have searched high and low, seen barrels for the 700 all day long
but not the 600 (in any caliber). Maybe get ahold of Rem and see
if they can point you in the right direction.

Mike,
I do not know what you are willing to pay, but check this out: http://www.gunsamerica.com/923990348/Guns/Rifles/Remington-Rifles-Modern...

I will keep looking. I know of a place here in seattle that does some work, I am tooling around today looking at guns, Ill ask.

this 600 barrel you are after, does it have the vent rib or is it the Mohawk that didnt have the rib?I happen to have 2 barrels in 243.mine dont have the rib.the chamber and bores are in great condition with nice sharp rifling, even the bluing is in good shape.

the model 800 had a ribbed barrel(like a shotgun) and the model 600 mohawk did not have the rib.The barrels i have are mohawk barrels.both in decent shape.chambers and bores are good.
