Rifle information

I'm in possession of a 7x65R O/U rifle handed down to me from my father which he retreived from Germany after WWII. It has a variable Zeiss Scope and has barrel markings of F.W.Vandrey, Hamburg,Germany. I've been informed that Vandrey was a gun maker. Just wondering if anyone has a good idea of the best way to go about getting an approximate value or knows of a collector that may be interested?

with it being a over and under rifle or what they call a double rifle it should be worth a lot of money and being old. Most double rifle sell for $45,000 and up.

you need to take pictures of the rifle and the less I would say the rifle is worth is about $4,500. I could be wrong, but I think it is worth more.

I think I found what you are talking about not sure though you tell me if it is or is not. It looks like a replica so I guess your will be valued at a much higher price.

Double rifle

It looks the same with the exception my rifle has engravings on the receiver of a stag or elk and it is a true double rifle not shotgun/rifle and it has claw foot mounts for the scope.
