My safes are getting full. I'm thinking of buying some to protect the long guns from bumps when moving from & into the safe. Anyone use them? Does the silicone really do anything?
I've used Remington rifle socks for storing my guns while depolyed and never had rust after coming back. I also put a good coat of oil on the weapons before storing them, so whether it was the sock or not, I don't know

My rifles from touching, Yes I know I need yet another safe overloaded as is but what can I do now, have some have not seen in years because there in the back. I want a walk in safe but ouch the money it cost.

my take on them are that they help.when i have to store anything for a while i spray the whole gun down with WD 40 then put it in a sock.of course you have to wipe it down and clean it when you want to use it because of the WD 40 but i dont have rusty guns this way

Bought 20 from Midway and have used many. I find that I can't get them over the pistol grip on my AR's. Does someone make a larger size?
