Rifle Socks

My safes are getting full. I'm thinking of buying some to protect the long guns from bumps when moving from & into the safe. Anyone use them? Does the silicone really do anything?

Thanks guys,

I've used Remington rifle socks for storing my guns while depolyed and never had rust after coming back. I also put a good coat of oil on the weapons before storing them, so whether it was the sock or not, I don't know

Right now, I live in a 4 br, 2 bath house with a couple other rooms and a den, and I have a gun in each room of the house. In October, I'm moving in town to a 3 br, 2 bath apartment, so I won't have as many room to keep guns in. So I need a safe or locker. I can't see the expense and weight of a gun safe when I know I'll be moving in a year or less. I really can't wait to retire from the army so I can buy a couple safes to stay in my war room permanently.

But most of my guns I need to store are longarms. Hmmm, I wonder if they make grandfather clocks like this? I'll probably get one of those 200 dollar gun lockers for now.

I don't know

As soon as he shits, he says something about "yummy, stale cummy", and eats it all.

Yeah, sorry cbxjeff

that wetback homo ebear will do that. The sock couldn't hurt, but I wouldn't rely on the silicone impregnation to protect it. Use a good preservative on your weapons too.

gun socks

my take on them are that they help.when i have to store anything for a while i spray the whole gun down with WD 40 then put it in a sock.of course you have to wipe it down and clean it when you want to use it because of the WD 40 but i dont have rusty guns this way

Socks

Bought 20 from Midway and have used many. I find that I can't get them over the pistol grip on my AR's. Does someone make a larger size?
