Rock River Arms

I am interested in buying my first semi-auto assault rifle (before Obama bans them). Anyone have any experience with Rock River Arms?? I was interested in the Standard A2 5.56 NATO. All comments will be helpful! Thanks

I have never own a Rock River Arms rifle, but I have heard they are good from shooting buddies of my. I like the Colt's,DPMS and Olympic Arms in AR-15. I have owned or shot these. Welcome to Gunslot, I know you will get more of the guys to answer you later today.

never fired a RRA either. I have only shot Bushmaster, Colt, Armalite, S&W MP, and DPMS... all of which are good choices.

my cousin has a Rock River Ar-15 in an M-4 style... and I put about 120 rounds through it quickly one day didn't jam once... everything seems that it's between okay and good quality, but I swear everytime that thing fired it felt like the bolt was causing more of the recoil than the round, I feel like it'll hold together but it's still shakey... honestly DPMS and Bushmaster are better, I've shot them too, they are solid and less recoil not that there's much to begin with on a .223

I have fired RRA, Bushmaster, Colt, and S&W AR rifles. The Rock River has an amazing trigger. The model I fired had a competition muzzle brake, so I can't compare it to "mil-spec" rifles in that regard.

Dont know if its true or not, but i heard that RRA was started by some folke that worked for Colt, then splintered off when Colt stopped selling to the civilian market
