This is a pretty nice looking gun. I like collecting commemorative rifles because there is more "bang"for ur buck in the end:

Too bad it is only a single shot:(

Ruger No 1

Hey Hunter59,
I have fired the 6mm and the 270 No 1s. They are sweet shooting rifles. My father and I had one of those contests where we would see who could hit the target one shot at a time. It started to get boring because the 6mm was so accurate and smooth shooting that we did not miss once for 10 rounds. If you are hunting with it, it should only take one shot to kill your game, if you are collecting them, they are great rifles.

The only

The only negative thing I have heard about them is the nose of the tang mounted safety comes in contact with the empty cartridge as it is edjected. This could easily be solved though by some filing.

ejection

Hunter,
Granted we only fired about 60 rounds that day, but we had no problems with cycling. The rifle operated as it should have.
