Now I am not a Rush Limbaugh listener, I like some of the things he say's, I just don't like his "blow hard" attitude or ego!

Rush Limbaugh has responded sharply to President Barack Obama’s comment about the radio talk show host, calling Obama’s economic stimulus plan "a trillion-dollar debacle."

At a meeting with Republican leaders on Friday, Obama told the lawmakers they shouldn’t be listening to Limbaugh if they plan on getting along with him.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told the GOP leaders during a discussion about his planned stimulus package.

Limbaugh fired back in an e-mail to the Palm Beach Post’s “Page 2 Live” columnist Jose Lambiet, saying Obama is trying to shift the focus of the public debate from the stimulus plan to the radio talker.

Limbaugh, who has referred to Obama’s inauguration as "The Immaculate Inauguration," mockingly called the new president "The Great Unifier."

"If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of the trillion-dollar debacle," Rush wrote.

"The Great Unifier’s plan is to isolate elected Republicans from their voters and supporters by making the argument about me and not about his plan. He is hoping that these Republicans will also publicly denounce me and thus marginalize me."

Limbaugh continued in his e-mail to Lambiet: "I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing 'eternal' power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy, because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy.

"Obama’s plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR’s New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would simultaneously damage any hope of future tax cuts."

Obama's $825 billion stimulus bill is set for debate in Congress this week. [See the full story about Limbaugh’s e-mail in the Palm Beach Post — Click Here.

I read about the stimulus. Some of the money will go to foreign nations for family planning services. Some will go to domestic family planning. How does a billion dollars in abortion, condoms and education stilulate the economy?
Another part was for theaters, museums and the art grants. Hiw does this stimulate?
More pork init too. Some private funds for building housing, hotels and office buildings.
Now if everyone is broke who will be going to hotels, theaters, buying arts?
Some of the money will go to windmills.
His ACORN group will get funds.
Affirmative action
The labor secretary made a comment that the job creation will not go to 'white contruction workers'. Try that the other way around
This is a cash pig full of pork. This does nothing for business but kill our jobs by weakening the thin dollar value.
Read some of this shit its crazy. If I had the time I would read it all.....but I have a job for now

My take

I think the thing I pulled most for this is how immature and unqualified this man is for the presidency.

samD,
I clicked on the click here and it did nothing. Style over substance? Man, that is a lib trick...just kidding.

I was watching a show on the history channel documenting Air Force 1. It was extremely interesting the way the crew worked together. The show started off with President Bush (W) in office. It showed how he interacted with the crew. I was suprised at how cordial and humble he was. He did not believe himself to the most important man on that aircraft. It showed how much respect he has for the office. The show concluded with Obama taking his first flight. I received the impression that Obama thought of himself as THE MAN. That all should serve him. When the Steward tried to joke around with President Obama, Obama seemed to walk away and not have thime to joke back. It may all be editing, or interpretation, but my hat is off to the crew of Air Force 1. Great men and women serving this country with little to no recognition; however, I am sure they do the job not needing recognition...

you know

You know something I find interesting. Whenever President Bush was talked about on the news, it was always Bush this and Bush that, never President Bush this President Bush that (Disrespectful in my opinion). But now that we have Prsident Obama in it is always respectful and President Obama says this that and the other thing.

When will the media begin to question obama? Some accountability would be nice. If Bush did this stimulus, the media would shit a brick. The environmental bill bush put through in 2003 did not pass becuase the media beat him into the ground. The plan was a very green bill which included Nyclear, clean coal, windmills and tax incentives for electric/hydrogen cell cars. I loved that bill but only could hear about it online becuase the media did not cover the green technology but only the coal and oil independence end of it.
The media is fucking us, treating all americans like sheep and telling us who to vote for when and why

The media focuses more on Obama's color than conservatives. White or black, he's a socialist. AND THAT MAKES HIM RED!!!!

greasy

He's a fucking celebrity.....NOT a president....May I repeat myself in order to be fully clear.....HE IS A CELEBRITY NOT A PRESIDENT. One thing I notice constantly is that this man focuses on emotional topics which do not relate to real topics and people drool over it because they are the type of people who sit and watch soap operas and call them real life....it's a friggin joke

Glad I'm in the army

This poor economy doesn't affect me nearly as much as it does many others. Job security is great. It's not for everybody, but it is comforting. And when I retire from the army, i'll still be young enough to join the Border Patrol. I'll do another twenty years there, retire at 59, and have two federal retirement checks coming in for the rest of my life as well as free medical for life.

runawaygun762,
I hope your plan works out for you. I am remembering back to the 8 years of Clinton and how many military jobs were cut. A real good friend of mine just took command of a Battalion in Italy. He is supposed to get promoted to Major this year. He has told me that there is buzz of cut backs in defense spending. No one has "job security" is uncertain markets.

The military has the best job security in the country. There may be spending cutbacks, but the army is expanding. Hell, the MP Corps is going from 38,000 to 62,000 in the next few years. Budget cutbacks affect technological innovation first. The military industrial and technological fields may feel it, but the rank and file joes do not. The worst that might happen to us is that our annual pay raise might not be as much next year. But at 3-5 percent annually, it's not much anyway. Not to mention that many officers are leaving for higher-paying contractor and advisor jobs, leaving openings for others to move up. Hell, after OIF 3, I knew one battalion lost 70% of its captains to the civilian sector. My job may not be the best, but the security makes life a bit more comfortable for those who can handle the lifestyle.

I hope you are right. I do not like to see anyone lose their job, but I also think it is naive to believe one safe from losing their job. Cut backs happen, especially during times of Democratic party rule. Remember they loathe the military. They see it as a waste of money. Cruise Missile diplomacy. I just hope you and everyone else keeps your jobs.

is to put yourself in the best possible situation...job training/college/ect...education, education, education and job training/experience...the best advice I can give to any of you who have lost your jobs is this: If you are jobless...volunteer, for anything that interests you, once the job market comes back, employers will look more favorably upon you, versus those who did nothing!!!

He's arrogant, obnoxious, and talks down to people. Hey, dummy, if you're so smart, how'd you get caught? Moron.
