S&W 500 mag

If any one owns or has shot a S&W 500 mag let me know if it is a good one to own or not. I shot one the other day and fell in love with but not its price or price of its ammo, is it worth it or not? And yes I like the kick and the weight of the weapon I like it almost as much as I like Glocks not quite but almost close, but how is the S&W in the long term?

I have shot the .500 S&W. It it very sweet, but I would only own one if I lived in Alaska and would carry it to save my ass from a 1,000 lb grizzly. Lets face it, with the price of the ammo, you're not going to take it target shooting much, not to mention the wrist abuse. I would look into the .460 because it can shoot .460 S&W Magnum, .454 Casull and .45 Colt. The .500 will only shoot .500S&W that I an aware of, and lets face it, if you're going to drop that much money on a revolver, you want something you can actually use.

thanks

Ill look into that, your not losing much going from .500 to a .460 anyways and if it shoots all those other calibers it more worth it than the .500. Thanks

have you considered the Judge .45 long colt or 410 shotgun shell?
