School????
I have 2 more study books, and then the tests that go with them left, till I complete this Gunsmithing course. Reloading Ammo and Ballistics, and Starting your own business are the last 2 I have left. Im starting to get really nervous about this, but this helped to ease my apprehension a bit. I went and got my local back-ground check done Fri. for the sheriff to be able to sign the FFL app, and the weirdest thing happened. There was an older, (as in 70-75 yr old) gentleman in the waiting area, (for whatever reason), that striked up a conversaton w/ us. He eventually learned that I was wanting to be a Gunsmith, and said to me, "excuse me little girl, but just because you where a hat, and dont wear make-up, doesnt mean you'll be able to be a Gunsmith." And the only response I had for him was, "Sir, just because you go to church every Sunday, doesnt necessarily mean you are going to heaven when you die either, but we all try, dont we?" About that time the sheriff called us to come back with him and he signed everything for me. As we were walking out, the older gentleman told me, "ma'am, I hope to do good, and hope everything works out for your shop." I then handed him a business card of mine, and he wanted to know when I would be open for business. I told him "give me a call after Thanksgiving." He said "I will cause I have a few things that I would really like for you to fix for me." Hows that for shits and giggles? I just wanted to share that with ya'll. I hope you all have had a great weekend. Im going to watch the Titans and Steelers game I have recording, "Go TITANS!!!!" and spend some time w/ the hubby before he goes back to work 2 morrow night!! Old boy is one of those old school types, and of course let you have it with both barrels..
We all know that type.. and while he was playing with ya a bit, you clearly knocked that puppy out of the ballpark..and guessing that he might well be your first customer..
Bet if you give him half a break on price, he will return the favor with a lot more than just his own stuff.. might be the best thing that ever happened to your bussiness..

My baby has the flue or some such problem... we had a quiet weekend.. Gloria doesnt get sick very offten but when she does its always a high fever type thing..
I slept in the morning, and as the sickies had her in a robe we decided that today would be a "Jammie" day.. The only thing i got done was use the last of some plumbers putty on a slight leak under the sink..
I had ever intention of going out to the range today, but it just didn't happen.. On non range days i like to do a speed loader drill.. so i got the J frame and L frames out.. put the speed loaders and holsters on the belt, and got into the "gear.. To start with i had the L frame.. So i go over to the mirror... and im standing there in full gear... in my PJ's... I got to laughing so hard at the picture i honestly couldn't get into the drill so wound up watching pawn stars...

U get 4 copies of apps to fill out. 2 for the ATF, 1 for your local Sheriffs office, and 1 for your own personal records. The Sheriff has to sign them for a number of diff reasons, 1- that my local background check came back legit. 2- that the place where I plan to run my business is not going against any zoning regulations. and 3- Well, I guess #3 is just cause the feds told me he had 2!! LOL!
