Selling firearm privately
Hello folks, I went to a firearms dealer the other day trying to sell my Smith & Wesson 908. They offered me a paltry $125 for it, which frankly I found insulting seeing how I bought it for about 4-1/2 times the amount. I reckon if I sell it privately, it should fetch quite a bit more. Does anyone know where I can find information on how to do this legally in California? |

call your local poilce departments non emergency number. they will give you instructions.
at the least you should write up a bill of sale, get it signed by both parties, and make a photo copy of the purchaser's drivers liscence.

i believe that because california is so tight on handguns you have to register the sale of your gun thru a dealer and you can get info on this thru nra
