I like the semi auto better because of the higher capacity magazine even thought I cannot get as large of a round for it

Unless you're handgun hunting, autos come in as big a round as you're likely to need.

Slider vs Wheel

Semi's ya got to give them credit. High rate of fire. Good for fire fight. But I honestly prefer a revolver. They pack a hell of a hit. Depending on what you get of course.

Ok but which one would you use for home protection and which one would you use for Carrey I would use the semi auto because of the larger capacity

Both work

Both work for carry or home defense. The revolvers are simple for a novice to shoot, but some can be heavy to carry. The autos need a somewhat trained hand to be shot effectivly. It all depends on who will be shooting and their skill level in my opion.

I think your home defense gun should be the same system, if not the same gun, as your carry gun. My nightstand gun is my Glock 34 with Streamlight TLR-1 light. My carry guns are either a Glock 19 or a Glock 26 or sometimes both. The G19 packs plenty of punch to supress the bad guys while I retrieve my M4, but eh G34 has a bit more. My thought is that having one type of operating system is a hell of a lot easier to get proficient with than four or five. Having said that, I can't wait for the day when I can get my grubby little mitts on a S&W 29-8 4" barrel .44 Mag.
