Shipping firearms
I know that we have covered the FFL thing, but I just got to thinking about the legalities of shipping a weapon to someone for repair etc. Say I wanted to send a rifle to Greasypaws for some gun smithing, what would I do, just box it up and ship it? I know that the BATFE kinda frowns on weapons being shipped to and fro......Just curious. Hamp this has ben covered but I'll go over it again. you can have anyone ship you a weapon IF they ship it to an FFL holder. You don't have to have a FFL ship it to an FFL, in other words for legality reasons any individual can ship to an FFL holder. A pawn shop has to have a FFL if he/she/it sells guns per state and federal law. The reason some shops ask for an ffl to ship it is because they don't want to get stuck with a stolen or lost serial numbered gun. Any other questions just ask.

when i signed up some old guy said lets see how you shoot, i did pretty well with my glock 23 at 10 yards, then the dude pulled out his raging bull .44 mag and hipfired the target, then winked at me, ive never felt much of a woman til that day lol.

That reminds me of the time my Bio Dad, Brother and I went shooting, minnie ball (thats what I call my brother it pisses him off to no end!) shot his Kimber pro carry .40 missed all but 6 shots on the first mag. I picked up a Glock 21 and shot 10 for 10. he tells me it because he wasnt warmed up I said yea well its been 15 years since I shot! Talk about his femine side coming out!

very nice hamp, you'll have to get the Norinco NDM-86 next. It will set you back a bit but well worth it. The NDM are nice and a lot more accurate than the Romanian because of the short stroke piston. But the Romanian are cheap and a hell of a lot of fun. Congrats on the nice rifle.

Been ok. Having a hard time looking up shotgun/gun regulations for Tn. Ive googled it and everything. All it keeps giving me are gun laws that pertain to carrying permits, and not selling firearms or ammo to anyone under 18 yrs of age.... UGGHHHH!!!!

ACE, I found this on tngunowners.com. Go there and see if you like it. Apparently there is a gunsmithing part of the website with alot more detail of where you measure from. But, if his ain't legal, I guess I wouldn't work on it.
The Federal Statute indicates that to be legal, a shotgun barrel must have a minumum length of 18 inches and the firearm itself (shotgun) must have an overall length of 26 inches.

ACE, well, KY huh?? I went to undergrad up there. Had friend from harlan who caught a bat and put it in an aquarium and kept it in his dorm. Ive already done some work on a P.O.S (piece of shit) Saturday night special for a neighbor, (it'll look good in my portfolio)- per GP, and the only reason Im doing this, is cause its a friend. Im not gonna be committed to just one type of gun. And @ the same time, Im working on my checkering and carving skills. I dont really wanna do "start to finish" stocks, Id rather get more involved in semi-inletted stockes, w the caliber already determined, and finish them. Thats where my heart, (I think) truly is. I have an artistic side to me, and I would love to utilize it, so might as well take advantage of it, hunh??

I really do want a upswept beaver tail, probably an ed brown, put on one and would like to have a barrell fitted with a fitted bushing some time.
