I was at my gun store this morning checking on an order, the manager brought over a shotgun with one of these: http://reflectoscope.com/ installed on it. My first thought was gimmick! But after playing with it a bit, I can see the merits for a policing force, or perhaps home defense.

I like it

Any idea how much price it added to the gun? If the price is right, I wouldn't mind looking into this. I didn't see any on their site. Of course, I got distracted in the Pictures/Scope In Use section. :)

I never looked for a price, I can give you Ty's email and you can ask him (the store manager).

pm me if you are interested.

Interesting

I don't imagine it works very well in low light conditions though.

I would image it would work the same as whatever your sights are capable of...
We had a trijicon front sight on the shotgun, so it was looking at a reflection of the front sight.

Hmm

$80 might be worth it. I wonder if I couldn't make the same thing myself though. Maybe a good project. For when I have free time (yeah right)

I'll let you know who well it works, or I should say, how easy it is to pick up once I get to shoot with it.

I wonder if it takes a little longer to get a good sight picture with that thing while looking straight through. or maybe it could make target acquisition even quicker. Id love to hear the results of your tests.
