Shooting sports leader training is April 30 and May 1
REPUBLIC - A 4-H shooting sports leader certification training is planned April 30 and May 1 in the Washington State University Extension office, 350 E. Delaware Ave.
The training will enable adults to teach youth shooting sports disciplines under the 4-H umbrella. It covers a variety of topics including shooting safety and ethics, hands-on teaching techniques and 4-H shooting sports policy and curriculum. The event will offer leaders their choice of archery, rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines.
All 4-H leaders working with youth in shooting sports must be certified, the Extension announcement said.
The registration deadline is April 2. Ferry County residents will be reimbursed for registration costs upon completion of the training, organizers said.
Registration and information are available from Emily Burt at the extension office, 509-775-5235 or [email protected]. Registration brochures are available at

I am a parent that has enrolled my 11 yr old daughter and my 9 yr old sson into the 4H Jr. Rifle League Program. My children have been shooting in this league for 3 yrs now. They both shoot rifles that are custom built and fitted to them. Both of my children do quite well in this competition. After much training and thought about it,my children will easily defend our constitutional rights.specifically our Second Amendment Right!

Congratulations to both Hillbilly & Greasypaws for being involved, and for setting an example for all of us.
