new to the gun game, so this may be a dumb question. but anyway, we got a shotgun off a guy and it holds 4+1. if i load the gun and then do not shoot all the ammo out, how can i get the rest of the ammo out of the chamber without having to shoot it. thanks.

1. First go outside.
2. There shoud be a small switch/button back by the trigger guard push it.
3. Pull the pump back all the way and it should kick out on of the rounds.Push the pump all the way forward.
4. Repeat till the weapon is empty.
5. Double Check the weapon is empty by pumping the gun a few times, and while you have the pump pulled all the way back look in the chamber to make sure it is empty.
6. Do not take this wrong but you should get a bit of traing before handling a firearm.

listen to hillbilly if its a pump. if its an auto, slide the bolt back like you're putting one in the chamber. After a shell is chambered, do it again. the shell should fly out. repeat until empty. make sure to double check that its empty!

And please keep your finger off the trigger while attempting to unload. Point the weapon in a safe direction, preferably at the ground at 45 degrees.

Always bring enough gun, more than enough is also acceptable!

Agree with hillbilly on this one. Probably shouldn't have loaded the gun if you didn't know how to work it. I don't mean that in an offensive way, just firearms are very dangerous in inexperienced hands. Most gunshops/shooting ranges offer gun safety courses for a fee, or will simply help you with an issue like this. If you still can't get the shell out, do not transport the gun loaded and call someone over for help.

Good luck and welcome to firearm ownership

If you look at the magazine tube at the bottom of the receiver, you should see the brass of the next round with a small nipple on a spring steel piece holding the shell in place. If you depress it, the round will pop out. You can empty the magazine that way without racking the slide.
