Has anyone ever shot rifled slugs through a overbored 12ga. barrel? Obviously it won't be very accurate, and I imagine it would cause damage to the barrel over time, but would it be dangerous? I'm thinking more along the lines of defense in pretty close quarters.

12 gauge barrel cut down so i could shoot slugs thru it.I also know a gunsmith that can resleeve barrels,he deals with turning Damascus barrels into shooters again.
