Sig Mosquito owners

I ran into an aquantance last night and found he had a Mosquito.I asked him if he had any FTL or FTE probs. He said he had not at(flawless according to him) but hee-hawed around on the ammo he used.If any owners would like to tell me want brand ammo you are using,I will try and nail him down to "works perfectly, haven't had a problem one".I not trying to down the weapon,as I have looked at one myself.Basically trying to nail him down to "one" story. He has always danced around subjects with anything you ask him, that is why we are just aquantance's and not friends I guess. He is so full of himself that he is trying to build his own suppressor for it.I told him he is messing with he life, his military career(Air Force Reserve),and he freedom, good way to get some bigtime jail time.
I would appreciate anyone's input on this matter.

I own a SIG mosquito and it is an ill tempered beast and I am afraid your acquaintance is full of shit from my experience, the only ammo that I had limited success with were the factory recommended CCI Velociter ammo. With it I could run about three mag's before the failure to __________ you name the failure began.

A member here clintlebo is going to be at some 'to do' with the folks from SIG and I asked him if he could query them about it a bit and he agreed, because as far as I am concerned I have a $400 paper weight. It is the only .22 that I currently own so one of the guys at work is loving all of the free ammo for is .22 six shooter that my Mosquito won't shoot.

And I totaly agree about my aquantance,I beileve about 1/4 what comes out of mouth.I don't know anything about CCI ammo.I use mostly UMC,USA,Hornady, and Federal.Have some hand loads out of GA. that I bought at a gun show, not sure of the dudes name right off hand, that shoot fairly well out of my HK and Kahr both are 40.Thanks for your response Hamp

Mostly shot 180's fmj but the hand loads are 165's hp.The first mag in each weapon is 165 and the other mags I carry are 180

naturally the 165 will quicker but these are suppose to hot loaded as well......they are Georgia Arms....Don't know if they are still around, bought major bulk for them about 12 years ago.And don't use for target as much as 180's

that I have tried every brand of ammo available to me locally and both of the slide springs provided with the pistol. It's like I told clintlebo, I drive 60 miles out to the desert to SHOOT, not fuck around with an ill tempered .22 auto, I have plenty of weaponry that cycles just fine with whatever I shove in the mag's.

My farm is only

30 minutes from my house.....far enough that I don't want a malfunction of any kind including a flat tire.

my wife's skeeter

there were problems with it at first. The gun even broke and had to go to CT for warranty repair, but came back with a better trigger. Sig calls for nothing but CCI minimags to be run in the misquito, but we couldnt find any the first few months we had it and tried many brands of the higher powered .22 ammo. There were many failures with the other brands. Once walmart started carrying the minimags we have run nothing but, and had zero issues. The gun likes to run clean and wet also. Hope that helps.
