Sikhs and our schools

Anybody else heard about this. The 7000 sikh students are to be allowed to wear their Kirpan after they have the baptism (not sure it's a true baptism) ceremony. It is a 6" knife. So my daughter could not wear a cross but these people can carry a knife to school. Anybody else going to have an aneurysm? yeah, yeah - all you scholars are going to tell me that it is forbidden to be used in anger. When does it end.

Unfortunately, it doesn't end, until we end it, I say this because i see nothing that would lead me to think that our elected criminals will ever do anything about anything that is anywhere near right

Are there any recorded incidents in which a Sikh was a "terrorist"?
I've worked with Sikhs, most of whom wore a turban, under which their long hair was wound, and had beards.
These things can be viewed in the same way as are the distinctive hats and clothing worn by ultra orthodox Hasidic Jews. Probably rather uncomfortable, but signifying no threat to anyone.

Knives in schools???

Not likely in UT, maybe Liberal land but not here....I had the misfortune of my daughter taking a tiny pocket knife, a toy really, to School a couple of years ago.....Oh man, they had a complete come apart, damn near locked down the School....I enjoyed the 45 minute lecture on weapons in Schools.........Sheesh!

I don't think so but the point was, why should they be allowed or given preferential treatment like we do the muslims. God forbid we offend anybody but us AMERICANS!! DOn't get me started on the little boy with the flag on his bike.

That is the one. Didn't want to cause tension in the mostly hispanic school. It was reported he was flying it for months to honor his Grandfather, a veteran and they make him take it down on Veterans Day.

Carrying a pocketknife or Gerber is one thing, but carrying a six-inch blade is something else entirely. There's no reason for a bunch of adolescents to carry something like that with their hormones all a-ragin'. maybe I should start a religion that requires practitioners above the age of eight to carry ARs everywhere. Call it Stonerism.

Last year a kid was expelled here for having some
fired shotgun shells in the bed of his truck.
It was dove season and he went hunting on Sunday.
Got expelled on Monday.
That sucks and a bunch of hell got raised about going
to far with their bull shit

Joining Stonerism

To become a true Stonerist, all you have to do is repent your sins of owning Commie crap rifles and wash away your sins in the cordite-smelling cleanser that is massive amounts of expended ammunition from an AR. Of course, in order to be a Fundamentalist Stonerist, you must have an AR that does not have a forward assist, but I'm in the more progressive denomination that allows forward assists and short stroke piston operations. I personally don't have a need for the piston guns, but you will be judged on the merits of your firearm choice by the Great Eugene himself, not me.

Knives in school

It wont happen here either. I carried a tooth pick style knife once and was suspended 2 weeks and was called before the School Board. Wow that did not go well at all. But I learned my lesson there. So in any case I dont think knives will be carried in the schools I went to. But I am allowed to carry a knife in the construction academy in college.
