im trying to figure out why they are constantly called junk guns ?? theyre more accurate than an ak just as reliable and you can get just as many accesories .anybody know why morons call them junk am i missing something? |

I don't know anyone that calls sks's junk per say. I like mine, even though I never shoot it anymore. I prefer my ak's over the sks more fun to shoot, but the sks is a nice rifle....................NOT junk. One last note about sks's..................they're very easy to make full auto.............but don't do it.

I know an RRD soldier that preferred the SKS to the AK. He has mentioned that the SKS is the rifle of choice for his 4 man fire team when they were in Afghanistan.
I enjoyed mine, they are just not as sexy as the AK

yes Greasy, I used to own a rifle employed by the eastern bock, I sold it to buy an H&K SL8-1. The next time you chastise me, please capitalize American, even if it is preceded by the modifier "un". lol

heard the SKS called junk myself,i bought 2 for 99.00 each back in the late 80s,never had a problem with either of them,they aren't sexy but thats about it.
