Sorry, but I'm not familiar...what does d or m stand for?
sytasyn_syn
Chinese Type 68 and 68/72, also known as "D" & "M" models
Hunter59
That clears that up.

i have a D model, but you couldn't pry it from my cold dead hands....
i am kinda proud of it. i like the AK mags, they work better than
the normal sks detachables. only one problem though, can't seem to keep the ammo from running through it.... ;)

I know where ur coming from there. 30 rounders dont take long to go through when ur having fun(but they add up fast!)Oh well, surplus ammo is cheap.

are you sure its a D? if its the thumbhole stock and no bayonet its an M. If its normal looking and has bayonet and serial number starts with 88 then its a true D model...
