I fondled one at SHOT, but never got to play with it. I'm not sold on the concept of either. What is a .410 coming out of a 2 1/2" bbl good for besides snakes and mice at close range? I do like the fact that it will take .45 acp. Are you thinking about getting one?

I haven't seen one in person. I know about them. Seems pretty sweet. Thing I like about it compared to the Judge. Made by S&W, uses .45 ACP, has 6 round cylinder. I wonder about the .45ACP. How can you load that in a mixed cylinder unless you have half-moon clips and have 3 rounds in sequence. I guess you can get .45 auto rim and not worry about it.

This is purely a novelty gun. I thought the concept was interesting for the gun but I don't like Taurus. Now my buddies S&W make the same gun. So I can look at it for the novelty factor and not feel like a bad person for owning a Taurus. I do not plan on buying one, however I would like to shoot one. So one of my friends or my Father has to buy it so I can have fun with it.

I probably just bought into the hype, but I think both this and Judge are more than novelty. I think they are utilitarian. I go into snake country a bit on land and when in a boat fishing.
Then look into a "bond arms" snake slayer, smaller and cheaper.
Vaquero
Not a bad idea, just kinda overdone. Shotshells for revolvers have been around for a while, because they are not a bad idea. A revolver for shotshells, yep, novelty. I'll stick with my .357 mag and "assorted loads". Yes, a .357 shotshell will kill small animals and blow a large snake in half. Just don't go after a skunk with them.

it will be good to have a revolver that takes the same ammo as your auto pistol
Vaquero
or a rifle that takes the same ammo as you revolver.

i havent fired either,or even got to check them out because california considers them sawedoff shotguns, and we cant have a shotgun with a revolving cylinder either so were screwed out of all of them, but when i leave cali id buy the new raging judge its 6 shot cylinder shoots 3 diferent loads,454 cas,45 lc,3''410.they also made a judge carbine called the circut court judge, dosnt take the 454 casull.i think they all are kinda novelties, but usefull ones.if going into bear country 454 will geter dun,if you wana go snake hunting without carying a large gun 410 is the ticket, and 45 if you are target shooting,or for defense.

I got the judge. It sure is different. I will hold judgement . It is my hideout gun.
