So....

I'm going on leave soon and I'm pretty stoked. My little one is starting to walk according to my wife. She said she took a 6 steps all by herself the other day AND she has 7 teeth now.

Also, I came down on recruiting orders. I'm kinda on the fence about it but it cant be all that bad since I dont have to deploy again for at least 3 years! I'm pretty stoked about that.

I got so see Darryl Worley in concert too. It was pretty good, I was hopin Zac Brown was gonna make his way over here but the shit head left haha. Aint shit goin on here...just another day. About 4 or 5 days ago we had a BAD wind storm. There were parts of the COB that reported 70kt winds!

My wife sent me some more guitar strings which was nice cuz I love to play...and it helps with stress.

I hope everyone is dong good back stateside..When I get back I'll have to drop yall a line. Yall be good and drink a beer for me!

Cheers,
SGT Q

in south Carolina...your always welcome...gotta get my billing done and yell at one of my drivers for getting a speeding ticket in Washington...coming off Snoqualmie pass at 91 miles an hour is not smart driving, plus my insurance can't handle the hard nut..gotta go pick out a pig for my memorial day BBQ...gotta be at least 130 pounds...we love our pig down here

I did my basic and AIT there. Always loved SC. Good luck and welcome home.

ivan.. if your "up"

bud.. whats the story on the drivers CDL.. i had always heard if you had a felony speeding (defined in AZ as 20 over) you lost the CDL.. this a diffrent rule in SC or what..

Ivan.. follow up

I think we all know your personality well enough to know this is killing you.. My guess is that that business of yours and the people who work for you are family.. shit brother we all KNOW that.. and saying this only as its evolving at the moment.

Everyone always thinks owning a business is the dream.. Yep it is till you have to fire someone, or explain to hard working people how you can't make payroll.. Sorry buddy.. Least in this case it's a matter of consequences and taking responsibility.. also know that's easy to say when your not looking at a guy who's trying to feed his family..

Hope (for all your sakes) there's someway to fight this.. good luck and and idea in a pm..

(Well, I'm assuming he was driving West to East.) I-90 is a two lane road (one way) and bumpy as hell. The road is in terrible shape. I've seen truck trailers sway back and forth there when they were doing sixty. The shoulder is almost non-existent there, trees on both sides. It's kind of like a tunnel. In fact East to West there IS a tunnel. As the major east-west road across the mountains, it is always heavy with truck traffic. The other mountain passes, if they are even open at all, are much worse places for trucks. It's one scary place to be even if you are doing the speed limit. The State Patrol's favorite spot is almost at the bottom of the hill hiding behind the trees in a medium strip. The speed limit goes up to 70 nearby, but I'm not sure exactly where. I think it is after the trap.

This is crucial because the law says you are guilty of negligent driving up to 25 mph over, and after that it is reckless driving. If the speed limit is 60, that's 31 over: reckless. If it was 70 it's 21 over: negligent. Big difference in terms of fines, etc.
