I'm here at work and people are calling to ask if the post is open or if things have shut down. IT'S FUCKING RAINING!!! It's not like we're in a hurricane, it's not like there's ice on the road, it's rain. People are so goddamned dumb. I would tell these people "No, post has shut down, don't bother coming to work" and then denying it when they explain how the MPs told them so after they're late, but the phone lines are recorded. Last guy who called, I said "Yes, post is open, it's just a little rain". This job has definitely turned me off of any police work where I have to respond to complaints. I have learned that I just don't give a shit about people's problems. When someone calls a noise complaint, the first thing I ask is "Have you gone over there and asked them to keep it down"? Of course they don't because people who call in noise complaints are bitches. Anybody else have days where they just want to tell others how fucking dumb and petty they are?

rain

you should see the freeways up here. All week long, they have been at a stand still. People here freak shit when it starts raining. We already have bad enough drivers with all the snow birds in town.
Another thing that I think is funny is the whole "monsoon season" thing. I admit, somethimes it rains pretty hard with some higher than normal winds, but its just like the average thunderstorm we had back in KS. People here would split town if they had to deal with the bigger thunderstorms of the midwest and tornado season with 100mph winds and softball sized hail.

Hah hah, snow birds

Heard a song this morning with the guy saying if it's snow bird season, why can't we shoot 'em. I didn't know what snow birds were, but I kinda figured.

Hell, we had a few in December, January, and February the last couple years in Kansas. Damned global warming.

Sorry about that man.

You need a metal roof on that house of yours.
Saw some shingles made of 85% recycled tires. Nice color & pattern on them, completely fireproof. They say within 6 yrs they will look like anyother wood shake roof.
Saw it on Renovation Nation...

Metal is not the most economicial due to heat transfer.. but obvious fire profing of the rubber + insulative values makes a lot of sense.. Ive got to get around and make it happen ive got some gone on the peak that have to be replaced.. see ya all later..

Tornado season

only refers to the time they are most prevalent, which is spring...tornadoes occur when the most violent clash of warm moist air clash against cold air from the artic. During the spring, the lower 48 start warming up and a cold front will push down during spring and there is the violent clash with more numerous thunderstorms. A tornado can occur in ANY thunderstorm...the more severe, the better the chance. Tornadoes occur in any country in the world where thunderstorms occur. Over the years, we have just gotten better at tracking them, forecasting them and alerting the public...no more or no less have occurred nor have they occurred in location where they previously have not. In the US, Okalahoma, Texas, Kansas among a few other locations get more because the cold air is funneled southward along the Rockies where it collides with very very warm humid air from the Gulf of Mexico! Nothing odd about having tornadoes now at all and besides, read my other post today--Global Warming is total bullshit.

As for your problem Runaway...yes, dealing with the public can sometimes be draining. It's best to just to answer honestly, try to forget it after it's over...then drink when you go home...by the way, how the beer tasting coming--still engaged?

here in Pima County. First one I have ever heard of here. A little disconcerting when the TV starts squawking and they start telling you to kiss your ass goodbye.. Nothing happened of course, but it is worriesome.

I'm all for Tornados

as long as nobody gets hurt,Tornados are good for the economy, keeps people employed and occupied, couple of my drill instructors were Tornados, they'd scatter our shit everywhere and laugh while we unfucked the barracks, last big storm we had here i had golf ball size hail and straight line winds over 100 mph,i got a new roof, soffit and fascia, and all new siding

when the roofing crew showed up,it looked like downtown Tijauana,i actually went up on the roof and ordered a beer and was groped by 2 hookers!

I have been updating my original topic to include newer beers. The coolest brand so far is Phuket, but it doesn't taste very good. I shall do a 40 of King Cobra tonight. Had to wait 'till I had the next day off.

I intend to try Shiner

Just haven't gotten to it yet. The beers I'm trying first are the ones that come in singles so I don't waste too much money on crap. I still have two bottles of New Castle brown ale in the fridge (ice box) because they taste like shit. Once my tastebuds are numb from this 40 of King Cobra, I'll probably kill the New Castle.

I personally don't like wheat beer, although Tito's is some really good Vodka from Austin for the price. Distilled 6 times. Oh, and I like New Castle but they're pretty filling.

Too late, already bought it. I've found that my taste run cheap. My top few favorites right now include Natty Ice, Bud, and Steel Reserve

Caramelization?

Wow, you guys is smart on this stuff. I bet you guys can actually taste the different things in wines too, huh? The only thing I've noticed about beers is that they smell different depending on how close your nose is. It's weird, but all I care about is whether it tastes good. Nuances escape my feeble mind and dulled senses.

He has to replace his monitor, it seems that there is a hole in his.
He was repairing a gun for a guy and it had a round stuck in it. Well in trying to dislodge it, it discharged and blew a hole in his monitor. He said sparks and smoke is pouring out of it, scared him to a fright, he jumps back and turns over his chair with him in it.
My sides still hurt from laughing.
He should be back on by tomorrow afternoon at the latest, is getting another monitor from his sis.
