The funny thing is the Arizona shooter optained his gun completely legal. Gun control is not about guns it is about control of the people.

those that would

trade in their Freedom for a sense of security, will get neither. This Bloomberg and clan are the worst kind of politicians, playing on the emotions of ordinary citizens,a feeding frenzy of self appointed messiahs coming with the cure for the ills of the masses,he makes me sick. Can you imagine having a law making it a crime to be within 1000 ft. of a politician with a gun, most people have no idea what their representatives even look like,i guess the police would have to arrest every hunter that drove by the Capital building. What an imbecile.

I like how Bloomberg has such a high opinion of himself and other politicians. It's just proof that they truly believe they area superior and have more rights and privileges than the average American citizen.

on the subject of your statement "those that would trade their guns for a sense of security will get neither" similar to the franklin quote"anyone who will trade freedom for security deserves neither"reminded me of one of my favorite jefferson quotes"those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not"just thought id share...love jefferson quotes.jefferson had a way of wraping a large truth up into a little quote.

Would the politicians have to wear a sign or something, so we know who to stay away from!!!

"Bad guys" will always have guns, no matter what laws are passed. They could care less. It would actually help them out knowing that law abiding citizens are having a tougher time becoming armed. The only gun control I believe in is hitting your target

Exactly, shak.

That's the dumbest fucking thing I've read in a long time. Fucking liberals. I have an idea. How about we make murder and attempted murder illegal? I can't believe nobody's thought about that before!! I'm a frickin' genius!!

Oddest thing?

Everyone who has lost theirs knew it before hand....

California's ammo law is a start and with the way our system works, they always look to point at test cases. England started out with limits and round counts, if caught with more than allowed you got a big fine, at first.

It isn't paranoia and it shouldn't be something people just kind of slough off with "They could never do it" because that is pretty much what others thought also. They did it, one bite at a time....

New Gun Laws

Ha! They have all the gun laws needed. Now, if they would enforce the laws, no problem. But who gets busted? The average guy who followed the law and bought his gun legally. Thats because you are registered whether you like it or not. The person who buys his weapon on the street ,cares less for the law, because he can get away with being a criminal.
If we could get it thru to the enforcement community that the criminal should be held accountable for crimes rather than blaming it on some obscure period in someones life , we would be a lot better off.

I know of a place that has a
"Trades Day" and there are always
some good deals on used guns.

I've traded several guns there and
I guess it's like buying them off the
street. I doubt if there is an FFL on
the place.

there is some tragedy. Some kook shoots a place up and everyone wants to overreact immediately.
The truth is the FWads like Bloomberg don't really believe that gun control will make people safer. They just use that as their excuse to enslave us.

drug use or excuse?

funny thing is this gives the libs 2 directions they can fight with one move, the ban and schedualing of salvadivinorum and more gun control.funny that the indians in oaxaca mexico (where salvia originates from),and has been used for hundreads if not thousands of years are not known for being homicidal maniacs.if you are a homicidal maniac and you take a drug you are a homicidal maniac that enjoys a good high...haha.seriously though the drug didnt make you do it,and neither did the gun or knife or hammer whatever you choose as your weapon.as for the idea of taking gun rights because of past drug use,or legal marijuana perscriptions,or veterans as napolinato sais,im more woried about the guy with nuklear power who admits having used cocane in his school years...just sayin.
