Spam spam spam spam

Anyone know how the bots are getting past the Captchas? There seems to have been a lot of spam recently, I'm wondering if there are actually people in impoverished countries behind the posts instead of actual bots.

Has there been any thought to putting a user mod feature in place where a certain number of "Flag as Spam" votes from regular users triggers temporary removal (or hiding) of the post until a Moderator reviews it to make sure its not spam?

I realize this also has the potential for abuse...

I know the spam could be a lot worse, and it only comes in waves, but it would be nice to be able to help limit the amount of spam that ends up being visible to most users.

I would hate for a new potential member to log on to the website, see that the last 20 posts were from "aiai" about 23airjordans.com and run away screaming because it doesn't appear there is recent valid content on here (which there definitely is!)

Spam Control

We are consistently looking for the best ways to control spam. I will message with some suggestions this afternoon. The flag as spam is a great idea. More to come.

Is it possible

for a mod to be able to delete multiple posts at once, rather than individually? That would sure make things easier

Hiya CW

It's been a bitch, sons coming home for a week so the Boss has me finishing up some remodeling I started a few months back. Don't get me wrong, I love to build things. I have a lot of pride in my work and all, but doing it on demand kinda sucks.

Have to run up to Cole's and see about picking up 4 battle packs, 2 - 308 and 2- 5.56 tomorrow and still paint, hang two ceiling fans and install dimmer switches... On top of that, I have never slept more than 4 hours a night and much of the time less than that, so the day time cat naps is out.

Hows things your way? Feels like there is a chill tonight, must be cold above the Mason Dixon..

Get the physical location of where it's coming from and kill every occupant of the building with a JDAM. Or an eight-pound sledgehammer. What? The CIA can do it, but we can't? I thought that's what the t-shirt sales are funding.

I think the t-shirt sales fund beer and ammunition purchases for Quinton and Marvin (not to be used at the same time of course) (the beer and ammunition i mean, i suppose you can use Quinton and Marvin at the same time if that's your thing).
